brand AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

1. Goals

The ultimate goal of the brand Ambassador program for Sun Coffee Roaster (SCR) is to expand our brand name and mission on our partner campuses. Specifically to make sure that the ideals of sustainability and great coffee are matched together.

2. who

Sun Coffee Roasters’ ideal Ambassador is a college student who is excited by the idea of great coffee and the sustainable mission behind our Sun brand.

3. how

In order to develop a knowledgeable Ambassador base, interested Ambassador applicants will be recruited by Sustainability Directors. Once recruited, the Ambassador will communicate directly with SCR founder Keith Lemnios to plan a strategy on their campus.

4. what

Brand Ambassadors will spread SCR’s mission and farmer stories for coffee brewed on campus. This will materialize in two different forms: create a social media presence for SCR and develop a plan for educational events and talks. This will give the Ambassador an opportunity to educate fellow students and promote our mutual mission. In addition, they will be the eyes and ears on campus for SCR.

5. why

Ambassadors will be involved because they are a fan of coffee and they have a strong belief in SCR’s sustainability mission—which include: living wages for farmers and education for farmer children. For their participation, Ambassadors will receive compensation–typically a “swag pack”. This pack will include coffee, branded reusable mugs, and farm family information to hand out to fellow students.

6. success

Measuring success is an important to make sure the program is able to be on target and change if needed. Measuring success is not a quantifiable amount for the program but a direct correlation can be seen between student social media participation and the Ambassador’s success. In addition, each Ambassador will report their events and overall impact on campus to SCR.
